Many instruments look at personality traits and some favor a people orientation over a task orientation. However, relying on a clear distinction by any instrument alone is not wise. I prefer to see how a leader orients to his or her team. Task leaders focus on the team’s structure and relationship leaders pay more attention to the way members are chosen and assimilated into the team. The thesis of the article is that there is a time and place for both task and relationship orientations. Both offer genuine advantages for the leader and the team. Neither is inherently better than the other. A seasoned leader will use both approaches, depending on what the team needs.Samuel R. Lately I have just finished reading...greetings sir!
Lately I have just finished reading your article discussing the topic about two types of leadership as regarding to two-factor personality as either task-oriented or relationship-oriented.

Moved by the interest, sir, born after reading that same article of yours...

Some questions would therefore bother my own curious mind:
Are there already any standardize tests or questionnaires that categorized a person into either being a task-oriented or relationship-oriented?

thanks! ^_^JM Estoquehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03970490219291778563noreply@blogger.com
